Ferry Routes
Ferries typically operate between the main inhabited islands:
- Santa Cruz to Isabela (Puerto Ayora to Puerto Villamil)
- Santa Cruz to San Cristóbal (Puerto Ayora to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno)
- San Cristóbal to Isabela (less frequent, often via Santa Cruz)
Schedule and Duration
- Santa Cruz to Isabela: Approximately 2-2.5 hours.
- Santa Cruz to San Cristóbal: Approximately 2-2.5 hours.
- Santa Cruz to Floreana: Approximately 1.5-2 hours.
Ferries typically run twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It’s recommended to book tickets in advance, especially during the high tourist season.

Tips for Travelers
Ask the captain the name of the boat they have for each route and he will have a list with the information of you, he will give you a badge as boarding pass and then you must check your bags at the dock control to transfer to the water taxi and then to the ferry. Arrive Early: Arrive at the dock at least 30 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding process.
