Day 1: Baltra Island arrival
After arriving in the Galápagos and clearing Baltra Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz.

Upon arrival in the Galapagos Islands, once the entry process at Baltra Island airport is completed, our representative will greet you outside.
They will be the person welcoming you to the islands and will subsequently transfer you to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island for your first visit.

On this energetic day, we'll explore Sierra Negra Volcano and Volcán Chico on a 16 km trek to view the 9 x 7 km caldera, the third-largest in the world and an active volcano. This is the best place to learn about and experience the origins of all the Galápagos Islands. During the hike, you'll visit the volcanic Chico area with its colorful, lunar lava flows and reach a viewpoint with stunning views of northern Isabela Island, other volcanoes, and surrounding islands—an unforgettable landscape!

Travel to Santa Cruz by ferry (inter-island boat) early in the morning. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, offering a comfortable and scenic ride as you move between the islands.

Transfer to the airport
On this day, you'll prepare to travel to mainland Ecuador. A transfer will take you through Santa Cruz Island to the Itabaca Channel, where you'll cross by ferry and board another bus to the airport on Baltra Island. Along the way, you'll have the chance to see the magnificent Galápagos land iguanas, a species native to the islands.
